Auckland Winter Sword is the University of Auckland Debating Society’s Pre-Officers tournament. If you are attending Hamilton Officers Cup this year, or are a pro speaker, this tournament is for you! New Zealand’s finest judges will set excellent motions to help you prepare for the upcoming Officers Cup, and is sure to be a very entertaining day. Teams will battle for their chance to win the “sword” – a champagne sabre which will be used to open a bottle of champagne (or grape juice) at the tournament BYO.

Format: Impromptu (2 v 2, 5 min prep, 6 min speeches, 3 min replies)
