University of Auckland Debating Society

Saturday 9 March, University of Auckland Have you dabbled in debating before? Done some debating at school? Never debated before and keen to get amongst it? Then this is the tournament for you! The Auckland Novice Development Tournament is our tournament for new and novice debaters and it’s going to be a fun time! 

We’re happy to announce that there will be a prize pool!  The tournament will have three separate divisions that speakers can speak in, depending on previous debating experience. The six best speakers from each division will face off in the grand finals to be crowned the winner of their division 

Divisions:
– White Division: No prior debating experience
– Blue Division: open grade schools debater/Thropy speaker
– Gold Division: Premier grade schools speaker/regional team speaker

If you have previously spoken at an NZUDC tournament or broken at Thropy you are ineligible to speak at this tournament.

You can sign up with your friends as a team or we can organise a team for you. Sign ups close on the 3rd of March.
